Erasmus+ Enhanced English Skills and Teacher Training

El curso “Erasmus+ Enhanced English Skills” corresponde a una movilidad del proyecto KA1  EDUCA+, se desarrolla en Edimburgo (Reino Unido), organizado por la empresa Inlingua, se realiza en la sede de la academia de  40 Shandwick Place, Edinburgh, Midlothian EH2 4RT.


El objetivo del curso es desarrollar habilidades lingüísticas escritas y orales en lengua inglesa con la finalidad de incrementar las actividades bilingües en el aula.

En la academia también me facilitan material y en algunas sesiones durante el curso se desarrollan actividades para formarme en metodologías Clic que permitan incorporar el aprendizaje de la lengua Inglesa en el desarrollo del curricular en  otras áreas como en mi caso la Educación Plástica y visual.

Primer día de curso Lunes 18 de  Julio. 

Hoy  hemos realizados ejercicios tanto de General English como por la tarde de Spoken Performance, con la finalidad de mejorar nuestras habilidades lingüísticas para poder  afianzar la fluidez oral.

Hemos realizado una visita al botánico y realizado una serie de actividades para trabajar técnicas para aprender vocabulario como  "Mind Maps" ,"Odd one out" and "Snake" .

 



Segundo día de curso Martes 19 de  Julio. 

Hoy  hemos aprendido los principios básicos de Clil, así como la importancia de las 4 C.

¿Por que es importante el Clil (aprendizaje Integrado de contenidos y lenguas extranjeras)?





En esta presentación se explica breve mente los cuatro conceptos en los que se basa el aprendizaje Integrado de contenidos y lenguas extranjeras. 






Tercer día de curso Miércoles 20 de  Julio. 

Es muy importante darnos cuenta de que el temario de una materia sea cual sea ha de llegar al alumno por eso las clases han de ir incorporando el  inglés poco a poco para que el alumno sea capaz de usarlo como refuerzo de la asimilación de los contenidos de la materia. Una manera muy útil es ir introduciendo vocabulario con distintas metodologías en cada sesión.




Cuarto día de curso Jueves 22 de  Julio.

Hoy aparte de seguir practicando el idioma hemos estado viendo un montón de recursos para poder trabajar en clase y para preparar las clases. Os dejo una selección de enlaces útiles.

·       http://www.famouspeoplelessons.com/ - Lessons based on famous people. These include reading, listening, gap fills, spelling, etc.

·       http://lessonstream.org/ - Created by Jamie Keddie, this site uses pre-made videos and bases activities on them.

·       http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html - This program can be downloaded to a PC and used to capture pictures and videos.  This is useful if you do not have an internet connection in a classroom as you can store your downloads; you cannot, however, interact with them.
·       http://youtubeinmp4.com/ The easiest way to download YouTube videos to your computer, for later use. Ideal for classrooms with no Wi-Fi connection.
·       http://www.eslkidslab.com/index.html - Provides English learning and teaching materials for young learners, preschool, beginners, elementary and pre-intermediate. Materials are designed to appeal to kinaesthetic, visual and auditory learners and include video lessons by course, printable worksheets, self-grading exercises, flashcards, phonics materials and teaching tips.

·       http://www.teachitworld.com/ - A subscription website that provides games and exercises.  This is at the limits of usefulness of technology – attractive but unnecessary.
·       http://www.onestopenglish.com/ - An excellent website for teachers looking for interesting lessons. OneStop have an agreement with The Guardian newspaper and use their news stories for topical readings.
·       http://www.elllo.org/ - A website with hundreds of audio and video lessons available to stream or download.
·       http://busyteacher.org/ - Worksheets for teachers in a hurry!

·       http://www.lyricstraining.com/ - A site that allows you to play songs and lets the students see the lyrics in real time, so that they do not get lost.  For gap fills, the song will not continue passed the gap until it has been filled, unless skip or repeat is selected.

·       http://edu.glogster.com/ - A site where you can create posters and make displays with sound.  Free for educational establishments if registered through a works email address.

Creating Materials

·       http://teachya.com/ - Links to websites for studying English.  Divided into topics and levels.
·       http://www.puzzle-maker.com/ - Wordsearches and crossword puzzles which can be downloaded ready made or custom made.
·       http://www.spellingcity.com/ - A website with some free content.  Allows teacher to enter some words and produces a variety of spelling exercises instantly.
·       http://www.teachers-pet.org/index.php - An application developed by a teacher.  It can be downloaded on to a PC (not an Apple) and used to create editable worksheets in Word or Open Office.

El curso llega a su fin, hoy nos hemos centrado en seleccionar y practicar recursos de nuestras materias, yo en concreto sobre Arts and crafts. También hemos podido practicar visitando la National Gallery.
